The problem with tripods is that if you travel with them, you really need to weigh up the pros and cons of having a nice, big heavy tripod for all occasions versus a small, light one for lugging around in your pack.

This specimen really takes the latter option. At 1.1 pounds it isn’t going to create too many weight issues when you have to decide how much weight your tripod is really worth when it is strapped to your pack and being lugged over great distances.

This one also folds down to 10 inches so size isn’t much of a concern either.
