Iriver PMC-120 Windows MultiMedia PlayerIf you’re really into mobile entertainment then the iRiver PMC 120 is definitiely something you’ll be interested in.

With a pretty major 20 gigs of hard drive space, you have PLENTY of room for your music collection and could even fit about 20 or 30 movies on it too. Now to anyone who’s been stuck on a flight from Sydney to London for 23 hours or a train from Moscow to Paris, that is going to be very good news indeed. It’ll even record your musings on the way with its digital voice recorder.

Of course, once you get to your detsination, then the unit has a TV Out so you can watch the video action on the big screen in your hotel room.

On audio, it can run for up to 14 hours before needing more juice or you can squeeze 5 hours of video out of it. That’s all thanks to a lithium-ion battery that you can recharge and also replace (the iPod fans will be jealous).

It also has a USB 2.0 connection so transferring documents and files between the PMC 120 and your laptop or desktop is no sweat.

The software it runs is Windows Portable Media Center which is suspiciously similar to the PC version of Windows Media Player which is nice because we all know how to use it! You can also use Window’s Media Player’s auto-sync function to make sure all the files on your PMC 120 and your computer are synchronised.

It supports Window’s DRM which means it will play digitally protected Windows Media Files which are widely available online.

In addition to the actual PMC 120 unit, the whole thing comes with iRiver earphones, a carry case, USB 2.0 cable, TV out cable, installation CD-ROM, and AC adapter.

A nice little toy for the traveler who NEEDS to be entertained.
