Apple Loses the Plot
The Apple iPod has been one of the great things to happen to traveling geeks like us in the last few years.

The ability to store our music, videos and images in a light, tough and very mobile format is everything we love. In fact for many of us, the iPod has become THE accessory that we need to take on our travails.
But now it looks like Apple are losing sight of the vision that has made the iPod such a phenomenon.
After a fair bit of speculation, Apple have announced their next big products. The announcement was meant to take the wind out of the sails of Microsoft’s PR campaign for the Origami project (or vice-versa).
So what did Apple offer up?
A stereo.
That’s it. A stereo for your iPod. Hmmm…
Even leaving aside the fact that the offerings of Sony in the stereo arena might be superior, it is a big disappointment for those of us who have come to love the mobility and versatility of the iPod. I mean, a stereo for your iPod takes away from its greatest feauture - its mobility.
Let’s hope the guys at Apple come to their sense next time and return to the roots of mobility.
The next big thing in tech for travelers (or anyone who loves mobile technology) lies with weight and mobility - they have the chance to dominate this area.
